Rodarius Marcell Green[2] was born on 27 August 1998. He is popularly known as Rod Wave and a singer. [3][4][5The Wave is known for his powerful voice and use of hiphop and R&B[2and has been hailed as a pioneer of soul-trap. The track from his album "Heart on Ice" was a big success on YouTube and TikTok. It reached number 25 on Billboard Hot 100. [7] Wave's debut album, Ghetto Gospel (2019) was a top 10 album on the US Billboard 200. The album that followed Pray 4 Love (2020), came in at second place on the Billboard 200. and also included the track "Rags2Riches" that peaked at number 12 on the Hot 100. His third album, SoulFly (2021), came out at number one on the Billboard 200 (marking his first album that reached the top of the charts). The career of Wave began in the year 2016 with the release of his mixtape Hunger Games Vol.1. He released several mixtapes independently before signing with Alamo Records. The mixtape was released PTSD on June 14, 2019, which featured the track "Heart on Ice". The song went viral through YouTube and TikTok it reached number 25 on the Billboard Hot 100. "7" Wave's debut album Ghetto Gospel was released on November 1, 2019. It reached number 10 in the US Billboard 200. The 3rd of April, 2020 Rod Wave released his second album, "Pray 4 Love". It debuted at the number 2 position on the Billboard 200. The deluxe edition debuted on August 7. The album was released at 2nd place on the Billboard 200 chart, with a deluxe edition following on August 7. Wave was named to XXL’s 2020 Freshman Class on August 11 on the 11th of August in 2020. Wave made an appearance in July of 2020, revealing that he was in the process of working on his third studio album. This was originally planned for August 27, 2020. 2.
